Addiction

On odd days
The wind blows
With a grin, ’cause she knows
My weaknesses.
Encompassing every fiber,
Bringing me to my knees.
Swirling, lurking, waiting,
Till my feet are steady.
Welcoming it
With dreaded anticipation
Again, she blows
With suffocating comfort
Allowing me to feel
The familiar chill
Of past storms.

A reminder of why we think the way we do, and that we are truly ok in within our own personal journey in life. To look at history, or the familiar shows us our strengths and when we see our weaknesses. We can only seek out the ideals of how to better that; which we feel slows us down! :o) xo
